Saniderm Tattoo Aftercare
Your tattoo has been covered with SANIDERM film. Saniderm locks in the body’s natural moisture and healing enzymes, allowing the body to heal itself in the most efficient manner possible.
-The first layer has been applied! It can remain in place for between 12– 24 hours. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the film. DO NOT POP any fluid pockets. If you feel like the fluid pocket needs to be drained, simply pull up the edge to drain (keep clean paper towel handy).
-Once the film is removed, wash the tattoo with warm water & an antibacterial soap with clean hands only. Clean tattoo of all residue. Make sure area is dry before applying second piece.
Apply the second piece of SANIDERM film over your tattoo and leave for up to 6 days to heal – SIMPLE!
When applying the second sheet make sure there are no ‘air bubbles’ present. If there are bubbles, work them out of the Saniderm.
While wearing SANIDERM you CAN go swimming, hot tub, and bathe like normal.
You may notice the corners peel up a bit. Your artist has left enough room around your tattoo that you are able to cut the peeled corners. Make sure the tattoo is not EXPOSED. If it is, you will need a new layer of Saniderm.
If you notice any red bumps or irriation, CONTACT US.
Once your 6 days are up, and you remove the Saniderm (best done in the shower!) wash the tattoo very well with warm water and antibacterial soap. APPLY LOTION generously for the next few days!
